How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Started in Real Estate at age of 19 and first failed miserably. Realized I needed help so sought advice from successful agents who recommended sales courses. Spent my last few dollars on classes which I mastered and applied to my sales career. Over the next few years set Real Estate sales and revenue records in California’s Simi Valley. In 1976 created my own sales courses for all fields of sales and started Tom Hopkins International.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Tom Hopkins understands both sides of the selling equation. He understands the fears of both buyers and salespeople. Buyers don’t want to be “sold” anything. Salespeople fear failure. The selling skills and strategies that Tom Hopkins teaches today reflect an understanding of how to communicate with buyers so they feel confident in making good decisions about the products and services they own. They also are taught in such a manner as to be entertaining and memorable by the sales professionals who seek them out.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location in Chandler AZ. No plans to expand.
